Why volunteer with Zenativity as an OPT student?
As an F1 student, you are granted OPT (Optional Practical Training) to gain practical work experience after obtaining your degree in college. In general you will have 90 days of unemployment starting from your EAD start date. We understand that finding a job within 90 days can be a challenge. So, why not volunteer with Zenativity to gain hands-on industry experience with Our STEM projects and maintain your OPT status at the same time? We have a number of F1 OPT students volunteering with us and we would love to have you in our community!
What will you do during the volunteer work?
We supervise OPT volunteers in gaining experience through projects that will benefit you, Zenativity, and the community. As a grad student with little industry experience, it can be tough to stand out in a crowded job market. We partner with startup and local businesses to provide you with the opportunity to work on projects that are relevant to your subject field. Whether you’re studying STEM, business, or another field, we have projects that can help you learn and grow your skills. In addition, the volunteer work can be in person or remote and work hours are flexible. You will also have a chance to team up with other volunteers to collaborate on a project together!
Benefits of working on our industry projects
Gain practical experience that can help you stand out to employers
Network with professionals in your field
Build a portfolio of real projects to showcase to potential employers
Learn about the latest industry trends and technologies
